I can get either used for about the same price.

What model/range is the blue from 1993 ? Standard or pro?

I like the 6 saddles. Other than that, are they more or less equivalent?
Since you like 6 saddles, you might want that 6 saddle one instead; because you will likely find it impossible, with parts currently available, to switch the Pro II to six. And if you decide later you want 3-saddle, Kluson makes a hybrid that will convert that American Standard style 6 saddle bridge to 3.

The Am Pro II neck is glorious. Just sayin.
This^
Plus the frets will be in better shape. I assumed you could put in a 6 saddle bridge, but maybe I’m wrong?

Ive never owned a 3 saddle Tele, but I love my Ultra. To me the Pro II is the more Tele version of the Ultra. It’s got the snap and pop, while the Ultra has the sustain and beefier pickups.

The issue on those 90s American Standards can be the neck finish lifting and flaking. That could be those marks on the treble side of the fretboard. This is it fairly well known on 90s MiA fender

Neck finish on the blue is flaking indeed. On the treble side.

Can that be repaired or is it not worth bothering?
