I would like to hold hands with the other Tele Performer fans here. I love mine, can’t see me ever parting with it.

Love the jumbo frets and Yosemite alnico, mine was Pleked inclusive in the sales price.

Was it Clapton who said playing his famous strat “Blacky”was like jumping into a pool of warm water, well that’s how I feel about my Performer. :)

I thought these had 6105 "narrow tall" frets, which are far from vintage.

This is why purchasing a guitar is a personal decision. I like the Performer Hum a lot. It's a fine guitar but I am not a fan of jumbo frets. We all have different preferences.

Not sure how helpful this is as mine is an American Performer in name only.
I assembled it from parts, absolutely none of it was born together.
The body and neck are American Performer, but they came from separate eBay auctions and the rest of the guitar from multiple vendors.
The neck pickup is a SD Phat Cat P90, the bridge pickup is a Fender CS Texas Special.
The bridge is Fender Highway One and the Saddles from Rutters.
The Controls/Electronics are from Toneshaper, it has 4/way switching.
It has Fender Vintage locking tuners.
Love the guitar, it is a joy to play every time I pick it up ❤️
