Has anyone used shellac as a tinted clear? For example, over a transparent white on the way to a vintage or butterscotch blonde result? Obviously, this would mean a lacquer-shellac-lacquer sandwich. I was thinking of using de-waxed flakes so as to be able to fine-tune the final color. Spray it on using a Preval unit.

    Should work, right?

    Thanks!
