I down loaded the latest release to learn that it has a Karaoke option that does "some vocal removing".

Man, I am jazzed. I guess I am going to have to get the vocals warmed up now for my next recording sessions.

You can faintly hear the vocals in the back ground, and you loose some of the lead guitar and bass. But depending on the recording, it does a decent job.

I forgot to add the tele content

I use Amazing Slowdown to slow the tele licks down in a song, so I can learn them. You can actually save the slowed down licks to a wav file too.

Now you can run the entire song at regular speed, save it to a wav file, without the vocals.

Import the wav file to your favorite recording software, and add your vocals.

Now your a recording artist VOCALIST. Depending on the recording, it removes the lead guitar too...so you can add your tele licks.

What the hay is it?

This is like one of those commercials that say:

"try meditartalpoopadaxal, and get amazing relults"

but they never say what the heck it is and what it's for.

Where do you get them? How do you use them? How much are they?

A vocal remover was the missing part of my home

studio. I have friends that Karaoke...and I personally wanted to make a CD of my singing with drums and such (but no band). Even better, it removes the lead guitar. So I can add my own licks or play the licks I learned to the song, ON THE SONG.

I am SOOOO happy...thank you Roni Music.

I am SOOOO jazzed.

Been there done that.

I wasn't sure if it was a effects box or software. I have a korg PX4 that does the slow down.

I have downloaded the trial version. The slowdown feature works OK but I find the vocal removal real sucks.
It mutes everything.

Regular speed audio along with the tabs work better for me.

By the way I can't find any info on meditarpoopadaxal.

See it worked perfect for me

I wanted as much of the vocals out as possible, I was willing to loose some of the rythym section and lead (because I can add that myself). I just needed the drums and a light rythym.

And best of all, it was no additional charge. Most vocal removers start at about $50 alone. I've seen them as high as 200 to 400 smackers.

Oh my ! I wasn't aware of that function... I only use ASD to play along and work difficult parts. I like the possibility to play different loops within a song, with specific settings such speed adjustment, pitch transpose or pitch adjust, ... Then save them and recall them later. That's koool and a big advantage (with the price) over hardware equivalent solutions.

Now I will also use ASD for my singing lessons ! Since now I have been using a plugin in a sound editor to achieve that poorman karaoke effect. ASD has same sound quality, which may vary depending on the source mix. Some tunes just suck (artefacts, total loss of other instruments such bass), others sound pretty good. Of course there's still the reverbered voice that remains in the back, which sounds like there's a ghost singin' along. But when you put the new vocals, it sounds pretty natural.

Thanks for the input Darrell !

OK now back to Danny Gatton : speed 70 %... but that's still too fast !!!

Dudes..ya'll ain't readin the whole thread

You just use the drums and the light rythym

You add your guitar rythym
You add your lead guitar
You add your vocals

Then it sounds pretty good for FREE...since you most likely bought it like I did for the slowdown feature.
