It is a GA6. It was my grandfather's from 1957 and I have his ES175 from the same year....

Cool, anyone who likes vintage Gibson amps is welcome here, and as for the '57 ES175, you know the drill, pics or it didn't happen!

Am I allowed to post a picture of a Gibson on here? Oh well, it is worth the risk!

I still keep the old packs of strings and the original catalogue that came with it in thecase! IMG_2604.JPG

Yes. But don't get caught up in the threads that predict what day Gibson will go under. ES-175? Holy Crow, what year is that?

Edit: Oh. '57. I don't read stuff. I just look at pictures. Really nice. and valuable.

Beautiful guitar, case candy is a huge bonus. Nice to see you appreciate your grandfather's gear and will take care of it.

    Welcome young mrjamboree!

Speaking as a grandfather, don't let that ES175 become a closet queen. Play it!

    Nice Gibby amp and 175.

I was 22 in 1986 and didn't have a pot to piss in.

Plus, the 80's were by and large janky at best

    Oh well...welcome !
