    Hi all,
    I just realised I registered back in 2009, but have never posted. I've always had a interest in music, but very little ability. I'm a slow learner, so I'm still trying... :). I love to tinker with things, but my ability is not in the same league as what I can see here.

    My son now has an interest in electrics. We've built a Tele already and am thinking of building a "Strat" soon.

    I love visiting this forum and decided it's time I say "hi" (from Australia)!

    Welcome! And yeah, that's a long time to go before your first post. Normally, I don't even sign up for a site unless I want to say something, but ain't nobody's business what you do but your own. :cool:

    I'm right there with you dim. Been hanging out here over the years. Great space with all of the info I have ever needed. Haven't had to research much beyond my various and curiously diverse searches of the Site. Always have found plenty of useful stuff to help inform my endeavors.
    So, that said, it's time for me to break the ice as well.

    I registered at TDPRI, TGP and the Acoustic Guitar Forum in 2006. I had been at the UMGF for several years before that.
    I'm not exactly a prolific poster but TDPRI rules.
    I recently posted the first time at AGF. Maybe I'll post there again one day.

    Those are deep fried "Dim Sims". A concoction of meat and cabbage wrapped in a thin skin and deep fried (you can also order steamed ones). I never knew these were an 'Australian' invention. See here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dim_sim
