Stop there! (I mean, with the Tru-Oil on the neck.)
    Looks great.

Wow, the neck came up so beautifully. Nice restraint on the dye work. Man, I can't wait to see this guitar together and working. Really cool idea!

I hit the back with a coat of sanding sealer.

Then i sanded back and gave it a wipe with some dark walnut stain. I know its mahogany :D but i wanted to tame the redness a bit.

Time to seal the top . I used a lil Bullseye sanding sealer let that dry. Then hit it with a wipe of boiled linseed oil.

Good time as any to get started on the pick guard. I had a old one kickin around so i hacked it up a bit.

I still have to teak it a lil and transfer it to the black triple layer pick guard material and get that cut out.

Looking at the top im kinda a lil more on the fence about doing a light burst.

It was really humid today and i didn't want to try anything else with the finish. Leaves me a lil more time to ponder , to dye or not to dye.:?:

Wow... Just when I think this one can't get any nicer, I scroll down to the next pic and I am proven wrong! The coloring on the mahogany is perfect!

The best kind of burst; one that is so subtle, you have to ask yourself, did he, or didn't he?
