I dunno about the red letters on butterscotch, doesn't quite look right.
It's well known that red attracts more attention than any other color..
I'm gonna be looking for some red cargo shorts to alternate with the chartreuse ones I adore so much.
I only hope this dosen't chase off Mark Davis. I value is wisdom. Hope this works for him.
Paul has supplied Mark with a black skin with big white letters, if I'm not totally mistaken.
What red letters? I'm color blind.
My text is still in black. The Post Reply and Report buttons are red, the forum names are a brown tone and there's a lot of grey in the borders. Things actually seem better defined and easier to read. It's different but not in any kind of bad way on my screen.
WOW the red is hard to look at. Just logged on for the first time on the desktop today and it bugged my eyes out. I really hope whoever is messing around with it puts it back.
Whilst normal text is black by default, one can use the colour option above the text area to spice things up.
I totally agree with you on the change for change sake.
However, its only a change in the look- not where the buttons are and where to find things, etc. just because some techie figured it'd be cooler (or easier).
Now that would really *** me off.
I get a kick out of MS or others when they come out with a new version and tell you its better and easier to get around- NO its not! I knew how to get around before- now I don't. It's only better for people that have never used the previous version.
my girlfriend just looked over my shoulder and asked, 'what is that yucky site?'
How about? That looks cool, ya can't argue that at all!
The lettering is red, but's rather dark and subdued. I like it coz it don't hurt my eyes.
HA! Me too. They look black to me.
reds are too close to yellow on the spectrum... they blend into each other without a defined edge..,,,
on the main page where there is a lot of red on yellow titles...your eyes are constantly looking for a crisp edge.. as our eyes are trained to read text that way.... it also seems a bit out of focus on those edges and your eyes constantly shift focus to find a sharper image...
and wears them out real fast..... red/yellow is more stressful for the eyes to differentiate text in such a block ...
that's why black is better on yellow.... or darker blues/indigo.. the opposite end of the spectrum.... the text will look crisper and in focus... because the colours don't run together...
colour theory #359...
I've never been so visually disturbed by print on a web page... and I've seen a few,,,
sorry Paul...ads a Yukk...
I've got to agree that the new colour scheme is terrible; not just not good, but visually difficult to look at.
well the color kind of looks like when your monitor is dying, with one color (RGB) fading. Is that a retro look?
Would go well with the antiquated Teles
I am sure I will get used to it, also do most of my TDPRI on the app, so there has been no change yet.
Oh well, most changes need some getting used to.
lets thank our admin for his work and preventing too much dust from accumulating on the old farts that we are
P:S: Already getting used to it
Kind of like " stop looking a the windshield, look through it"
It's not glaringly obvious to me what with my color blindness issues, but I do get a bit of an unsettled feeling with the colors on here. Despite my inability to specifically identify the red text, I definitely noticed a lowering of contrast that I'm not really getting any more used to. Feels like I can't quite focus on it properly.
