All necks are "really comfortable". Right?

Whenever I see or hear anyone talk about the neck profile, no matter what the description, they say "really comfortable". Cracks me up.

I have no problem with any neck. Of coarse, I’m pretty mediocre so maybe I have problems with all of them.

I know I say that because it's the truth and you're happy when you find a neckl that is finally comfortable.
And you say that because you have uncomfortable next to compare that with or you have encountered that...

don't think there's anything wrong with that it may not be for everybody but it's comfortable to that person

I can and do play a range from a slim es335 to fat 50s Les Paul. All comfortable :)

I was hugely disappointed when I ordered a guitar and they asked "chips with that?" All I got was a relic.

There's a custom maker I know of who's carved upwards of 500 necks and who says he listens carefully to his customers and then carves what he always carves and knows works. I have one and it's perfect. He gets lots of repeat business.

A lot of princesses around and a lot of peas.

As long as it is set up to my liking I see no problem.

Personally, I don't get that far into it.

I pick it up, plug it in, and play it. If my hands and ears are okay with it, then I'm okay with it! ;)

Part of that is what we get used to.

I don't dispute that sellers are always 'selling'. I do acknowledge that my 'really comfortable' LP neck is wide and it's uncomfortable to my brother who loves his slim taper. That was my guitar for many years previously and it was a nice neck.

I don't think he's played it for more than 5 minutes (which is good, or he'd be borrowing it) so he hasn't adjusted to it.

I've got several different shaped necks, which honestly I have no clue of their spec* and I get along just fine. I'm not a fan of narrow though.

    *I've got a Martin OM28V which has a V neck - I can tell that shape!

All mine are different. They're all comfortable enough, but only a few have that ooooh factor.

One or two have had that uuggh factor. My Harley Benton goldtop had a neck that was basically the same size from nut to where it met the body. Clunky. Not comfortable. Sold it.

    It’s all relative.

The “most comfortable Tele neck ever made” still feels like a broken bottle compared to your average Les Paul and 335...o_O
