For me Greetings from Asbury Park and The River were entire albums of “The One Song”. For me. That’s an opinion.

Houses of the Holy - "The Crunge"

    Synchronicity - "Mother"

I have to skip those songs on those albums. Can't stand them. But I enjoy every other song.

On almost every Jeff Beck album, don't have the time or inclination right now to go through them, everything will be going nicely then there's that one song that's supposed to be moody or atmospheric or something that just stops the whole album dead in it's tracks

Yes, oh yes, those two songs are purely cringe worthy

Celebrated Summer is the song that made me run out and buy that album ...

Yeah, I always hated it too till they opened with it when I saw them in '75. It was done so good with an extended Indian tom-tom like drum part at the beginning. I've liked it ever since.

Rocky Raccoon, another one of those songs that was cute the first time you hear it and then quickly learn to hate it.

When it comes to the Beatles, right from early on I've always skipped the rock n' roll covers:

Roll Over Beethoven on With The Beatles
Rock n' Roll Music on Beatles For Sale
    Dizzy Miss Lizzy on Help

Todd Rundgren's otherwise wonderful 'Hermit of Mink Hollow' - that awful 'Onomatopoeia'. At least it's mercifully short!

Funny, I know "Mother" is not a good song, but I am so used to it, it does not bother me. I was amused to find out how much my 8-year-old son liked it. He thinks it is funny.

I don't like "The Crunge" either, but I think I like it better than "D'yer Maker"

It is kinda a throwaway song. I had the LP and it was not even on there. I think I first heard it as a B-side to one of the singles.

I had always disliked "Tea in the Sahara" off Synchronicity, but I kinda like it now.

Yeah, Murder By Numbers was only ever a "bonus track" on Synchronicity. Otherwise, it was "just a B-side".

If there's a song on a Police album that bugs the hell out of me, it's Be My Girl/My Girl Sally on Outlandos D'Amour. It has such a great intro, and Sting's chorus sounds promising, but then it segues into this ridiculous spoken word thing from Andy Summers. NEXT!!!!!

I always thought Harvest would have been a perfect album if not for A Man Needs a Maid.
