Sentimental Institution from Steve Hackett’s album Defector. Awesome album and then... luckily it’s the last song on the album, so it’s pretty easy to skip.

I don’t agree with any of the Beatles suggestions so far btw... What Goes On is the weakest mentioned so far I think, but it’s probably Honey Don’t from Beatles For Sale that I come closest to skipping.

Thank You from Led Zeppelin II. Good song, just wish it wasn't on the greatest rock record ever. Just my opinion.

"The Whale" from ELO's Out of the Blue and "Carouselambra" from that Zeppelin album.

"Country Honk" on Let It Bleed. Honky Tonk Women is so good. That song...isn't.

I’ve been listening to I want you (She’s so heavy) a lot this week. Love it.

Chris is funny that way. I was having a nice conversation with him after a show and as soon as I mentioned The Byrds it was like I killed his puppy or something. He's still one of my favorite mandolin players.

Back to the subject at hand,

Grateful Dead. AOXOMOXOA, "What's Become of the Baby?"

Also "Loose Lucy" on whichever album it's on.

If I thought hard, I could probably come up with dozens, or scores, of examples. But these three pop right into my head without thinking about it:

Moondance – I like the song "Moondance" in and of itself, but it's out of place on the album.

Rubber Soul (English version) – It's my favorite Beatles album...except I don't like "Michelle." Fine song in and of itself, but again, doesn't fit the album IMO.

Crosby, Stills, and Nash – "Marrakesh Express." **** you, Graham Nash. Get that ****ing **** outta here! Second song on the damned album too! ****!

Guero by Beck. The song Hell Yes.

Superunknown by Soundgarden. The song Half.

“Compassion” from Lucinda’s Down Where the Spirit Meets the Bone. First song on the album and when I heard it I hated it. Still do. From that point on though it was 2 cd’s of pure awesomeness.

I love that song, but I get why others don't. It's one of the few SG songs written entirely by bassist Ben Shepard, and would fit in better with his other band Hater.

I love every song on every Zeppelin album, except for one song on "Houses":

The Blue Nile's masterpiece, Peace at Last, contains a really **** track, War is Love, which is totally incongruous with the rest of the album. I detest it so much.

Yep, that’s a bad song on an otherwise perfect record.

“The Murder Mystery” off of The Velvet Underground (1969) is a blemish on an otherwise beautiful record.

Yeah, that's one of those songs that is great - one time.

And I don't care for the slow version of Revolution they chose either. I prefer the faster one on the single.
