Excellent! I love Coral... even have some cans of Krylon Colormaster Gloss in "Coral Isle" slated for a project. Looking forward to seeing how this one turns out!

color coat is almost done. I just have to retouch a few spots.
Very minimal peau d'orange. Not enough to have to sand before clear.

hard color to capture...its not as pink as these pics suggest.
Picture it throwing a slight orange hue....

(white areas is just reflection from window)

yeah i saw their version. I actually like krlyon primer better than rustoleum.

I almost went with krylon lettuce green.
My next esquire will be that color.
Check out page 37 of duchossoir's tele book. the mid-56 esquire with the
"very unusual pale green finish" I always loved that tele!

I think its called lettuce...might be pistachio green

I would love me a coral one-humbucker strat with a tort pickguard and a vintage white humbucker. Looking forward to seeing this Cabronita come together.

clear coat is on...again hard to capture the proper color. This is close though.
picture it with a pinkish hue, less orange.
some minor peau d'orange that will disappear with final wet sanding

Looks great! How long does it need to dry?

as per can instructions 48 hours. Thats what I did last time with surf green.
But I might let it dry several days not just 2, if not a full week. I used more clear this time (3 cans instead of 2)
then last.

this stuff dries fast. The can says do coats a few minutes apart, But what I was doing was
a coat every hour, then I went to every half hour, and the last 3 coats every ten minutes.

I did the primer 1 day (1 can), let dry 48 hours, then did the color 1 day (1.5 cans), waited 24 hours,
and did clear 1 day (3 cans)

Thanks for the tip on Krylon primer. Your Tele is looking great... not too red, with some pink & orange in it. The range of cool 50's colors between Krylon and Rustoleum now is amazing... to the point that it makes it really tough to decide on a color!

Btw, here's that Krylon Pistachio on a Tele, and the Coral Isle on a Strat:

Looks excellent. Think I'm going to give this stuff a try for my current build. Hoping to start this weekend.

Which primer did you use? Is it just the white 2x one?

I did a few pedals in a rustoleum apple green that looked great. I'm considering that color for the guitar.

almost done. I have to take the neck off and remove all the paint form the cavity as its acting like a shim
and causing mad buzzing. All I did as scuff it up, I have to remove all of it. oops.
