Hey, everyone! My name is Rich Chaffins, owner/luthier at Agape Guitars.
First off, it's pronounced uh-GAH-pay.
My instruments run the gamut from classic to modern. Any of my guitar models are available in 6, 7. and 8 string, basses in 4, 5, and 6, all can be either straight scale or multiscale.

Now that that's out of the way, I'll be here posting pics of completed instruments as well as in-progress pics of what's brewing in the shop. I'll list some stock instruments that will be available for purchase as well. You can also contact me here to talk about your own custom instrument. Right now I'm finishing up and shipping out a bunch of guitars, so there are a few spots open on the build schedule.

Here are a couple of the guitars I'm shipping out lately. Since this IS TDPRI, in this post I'll focus on my Eve model! First up is a semihollow Eve. This one is shipping to its home tomorrow:

Here is a multiscale Eve, for a local client. Killer walnut top, amirite?

Ah, I remember seeing you on TGP in the small luthier section years ago. You’ve got some cool designs, in fact I really fancy some of your non-T-style ones.

Not in the market for a guitar any time soon (buzz kill, sorry!), but I wish you good luck. I’d love to check out your stuff some day.

Happy Tele Tuesday, y'all! Hope it's a good one.
Wanted to show you a couple guitars that are in the works here. First is a couple of Eves in what is probably my current favorite finish, a mixture of the Japanese shou sugi ban method of wood preservation and milk paint.
This finish I call Burnt Mint:

It has a McNelly T-bar bridge pickup and McNelly P90. I can't compliment his pickups enough. They sound fantastic.

This one is along the same lines, but is 1) a lefty, and 2) available! I call this finish Burnberry:

I also have several other models that I build regularly. This is my Junia model. This first one is a Christmas present headed to Kansas:

Schroeder T-style half bridge, P90s, black limba body, walnut neck, wenge fretboard. The inlays, logo, and switch ring are all metallic white resin.

This one shipped a couple weeks ago. Glow resin and buckeye burl top, Fishman Fluence pickups, Floyd Rose:

I really don’t care for the name as a former Christian but most might not know what it means. Either way those are some phenomenal axes! Bravo and all the best.
Thanks so much for the kind words! And I super get where you’re coming from. I used agape in the spirit of its definition as “unconditional, self-sacrificial love”. The world can always use more of that, I believe.

Hey, all! Hope everyone is doing well. Been crazy busy since last checking in, but here's a couple of new things going on.
I build basses as well. Here's a recently-sold Astrid bass, with one of my favorite necks I've built:

And on sale for $500 off of list at my Reverb store, this lefty Eve in Burnberry finish. Pine body, flamed maple neck, custom wound McNelly A2 pickups.
