After the thread about moving a piano, my piano spoke to me today.

We had a piano growing up but nobody played it all those years. My aunt ( who passed recently at 102) taught herself to play. Pretty well at that.

If guilt were a motivator, I'd be Liberace. When we first got a piano, somewhere in the 80s, I was all jazzed about it, my wife was, the kids were. Then NOBODY played it! I fooled around with it and learned a couple of songs just to show someone how it sounded. As a pianist, I'm a pretty good Fuller brush salesman, that's about it. I wish that someone would have learned to play it. It sits there glaring at everyone, dishing out huge helpings of guilt. Alex hops up on the bench when he wants a pet on the head, there is that.
