I’ve financed a few small purchases on Reverb using Affirm. Zero interest, small monthly payments, hard to resist.

Now they’re telling me I can spend another $2,300.

    Lord, give me strength.

I’ve always wondered about affirm do you get the purchased item and then pay it off?
    Like a regular loan

What happens if you don’t pay (not that I wouldn’t)

    Is there professional guitar repossession?
Do they hunt unpaid for instruments at gigs around town

if you don’t pay it goes to collections and screws up your credit. It works like a normal credit card.

I couldn't resist the 0% interest and 5% back at GC for something I can pay off today. Finally got the card. They said I was approved for $800, turns out it was $3800. That's how they get you.

You have to qualify/register, but yes, you get the stuff and they deduct the payment every month.

I doubt they offer zero interest to everyone, but I have decent credit.

Zero interest is based on vendor promotion(s).

It's a trap - not unlike that white van parked down by the playground w/ a "free candy" sign on the side-door.

Worse yet, it's the same candy offered by sweetwater.

crap candy - and they're kinda stalky. I keep getting phone calls.

Most will sell the item for much less if you wave cash in front of them, and still give your incentive "points" if that merchant offers that.
