Apologies in advance for posting this in what is doubtless the wrong section, but I can't find a section on strings and have seen a dozen threads on string gauge

Essentially, someone has recommended I try some brand of strings. They seem to be sold in the USA, but there is no UK feedback that I can find

Of course I would trust someone on here with years of posts, but can anyone tell me if they tried RESONAIRR? They don't seem cheap enough to buy a box without trying already, but would prefer to hear from someone with experience of them. They seem to be sold in the USA for a while

I haven't tried them but they're made in the UK with free shipping for 2 packs, seems reasonable for a test run.
my reading was that they were usa manufactured and sold on US websites for some time?

I stand corrected.
The only pack I saw had Manchester on the back

Never heard of them
Played XL's for 30 years

Looking at their site and pricing if I were looking for a new option I would not hesitate to buy a couple and try them.

Let us know what you think

I thought I wrote a reply last night to the points above, but it doesn't seem to have posted. I thought I wrote:

These are sold and reviewed on Amazon USA. The problem I have with relying on Amazon reviews is that competitors will go on and trash another's product

Following The Wisdom Of TDPRI, I have ordered a pack of 10s. My left index finger is injured, so I might not have them strung up and played for 100 hours within this week, but I do undertake to reply once I have an opinion

I think the thing I am really interested in is something saying about the string surface being treated in some way where they can last 5 times as long. For people who change their strings more often than they change their clothes, that would be a big deal. I never normally like coatings

I reckon I will put them on my 60s Baja. I hate to think last time I changed the strings on it, but it could also do with the neck dressing

I just remembered that I forgot all about this

WHAT HAPPENED - as per advice from you all, I just got on with buying some. They arrived really quickly, but the spooky thing is that they were sent by recorded delivery with Royal Mail, which isn't cheap over here, so when I got 3 emails from Royal Mail telling me I had a package due to arrive, I presumed it was spam mail, as I had nothing I bought online of late

THE DELAY - as promised, I wanted to put them on my 60s Baja, but as I hadn't played it in a while, the fingerboard was in a bad way, so I also then bought a pile of cleaners and treatments to use ahead of the new strings, such that I had to wait for those to arrive/time to clean it all up/etc

So - once it was all ready, I put the strings on. The GOOD NEWS to me is that I can't feel any kind of coating. They feel and sound like any other good quality string. I am probably the worst person on here to do a string review, as I don't swap strings all the time of play very well to be able to compare to the other 50 sets of fresh strings I played on stage this week

I guess I got what I would have wanted, in good sound and no feel of coating... but then I realise that the selling point of them lasting 5 times as long as normal strings isn't something I can report on the same weekend, so my rubbish report is 'these don't have some detectable greasy coating, they feel like normal good strings, I don't know yet if this is going to last 5 times as long'

I do wish I had bought the acoustic version at the same time, so I could have an opinion on those, but I didn't want to until I knew the first set were good. If anyone does try the acoustic ones please let me know, as I have bought a lot of lame dead acoustic strings before now

There are only four or five guitar string mills in the world, and they make strings for all the various brands. Daddario is one of 'em.

I'd try 'em, but I still have 10 sets of D'Addario EXL's lying around, and since I change strings every 3 or 4 years, I doubt I'll get the chance in this lifetime.
