It’s a regular keyboard, not something like a B3.I do not understand what this "portable" Hammond organ is?

Never happened to me, but after putting the phone down on that conversation, my next call would have been to the cops.I had (sadly, past tense) a guitar that had to be sent to the guitar maker to access/repair an issue. Thankfully the issue was resolved and he shipped it back. Three days ago I am sitting on the couch 10 feet from my front door and I get an email that my guitar was delivered. No knock and no signature but still great news, right! Wrong, nothing on my porch. I double checked tracking and sure enough, UPS said it was delivered, and what's more, I signed for it? I figured it was an error, but because of its value, I immediately filed a claim and notified the guitar maker. I have a home security can at my door so I checked that to be sure, nope, no one came by. I went to all the neighbors (I have great neighbors who put up with me and the loud music and no one got it.
Long story short, 3 days later, after getting incredibly creative or maybe just lucky, I got a human on the phone (I could probably sell the method for that, it's nearly impossible). I learn that the driver said he delivered to me personally and that I signed. I explained the security cam and signature stuff and he politely said that the driver disagrees with that version. I asked if it might just show up and he said definitively no, it's "delivered". Could it have gone to a different address? No. Can you send me a copy of the signature? No. Should I expect to be reimbursed? No, the sender will be reimbursed. Is there anything you can do to help? We will send a report when the investigation is complete. Can you tell me when it will be complete? No, sometime in the next 30 days.
Just not my day I guess.
I never had an real problems with shipping before - delays and damage a few times, but nothing like this (guitar is worth over $3k). I've also really liked the delivery people who I've met, I always offer to help bring stuff in and have had some nice chats with a few of them. It seems strange that the driver on this one would make such a strong case that I got it when I didn't, but alas.
Anyone had something like this happen? Any advice?
similar here, recently traded in an electric piano, they took a copy of my drivers license.Thumbprint? Interesting. Over here, all you have to do is produce proof of address when selling or hocking gear.
Can you pls post link? I searched but didn't see it,Anyone remember my threads about how the UPS driver stole my Ron Kiran tele?
Well, since you asked. Can you pls post link? I searched but didn't see it,

Sorry that happened to you. I'm curious, tho, how did the rival shipped end up with it?Ouch, really sorry to read this!
I had my work ship me a new MacBook Pro laptop by FedEx last year. It didn’t turn up, but they said it was delivered, signed for by me.
I called and explained 5 or 6 times that this didn’t happen and demanded the signature. They then said that they spoke to the driver, who was turned away by the ‘security doorman’ who refused to take the parcel. The security guy allegedly told them that if it was delivered they would put it in the bin. And they were unclear if the driver left it or not, said that that was the end of the situation.
Problem is, I live in a normal residential apartment, with no doorman and certainly no security!!
FedEx said that they wouldn’t investigate as clearly it was either delivered, or had been disposed of by someone in my block. I informed them that that was fine, I'd file a Police report and let the Police investigate.
I didn’t go to the Police immediately, as within 24 hours the laptop was mysteriously delivered by a rival shipping company!! I asked who sent it and paid for shipping, but apparently it was an anonymized prepaid drop off!!

it may be a guitar center thing in my area. it’s cool they do it, but again, the fence was a pro-job and the cop said it was a mule who sold it. the thieves had a well oiled process, that much i’ll say. i think i commented earlier it was stolen, fenced and on the floor for sale in less than 24 hours. i’m still grateful to the cops who helped out and to the retailer who totally cooperated (they could have dragged their feet since the local sgt send two uniformed cops and they didn’t have a warrant the first visit. the retailed took it right off the shelf and helped a lot to verify SN, etc. it was the one good thing to come of all this, everyone on this side of the law was awesome. i got the pic on my security cam of the uniformed cop on my porch, guitar in hand to return it. i offered to come pick it up and the station but they insisted, which to me was a class act.Thumbprint?
