    Main Requirements are:
    1. Output will be through a load-box into an audio interface
    2. Must have Clean and Gain Channels
    3. Clean must be fender-grade good
    3. Crunch/Hi-Gain should be Marshall-Esqe in tone
    4. My Tele and Les Paul must like this
    5. All Tube Design

    Looking forward to your suggestions...

Both have a plethora of features. Of the two, the IRT15 may suit you better. Don't be put off by the Ironheart designation of it. The cleans an Ironheart series amp can give will warm the very cockles of your heart.

Both have a very flexible tone stack too, and both support re-amping.

    Orange TH30?

One of the newer Blackstar ht mk2 heads? Probably more suited to doing the computer thing.

I have Blackstar MKII 20 and H&K Tubemiester 36. I run them in stereo but either one by itself will do

Also the Club 40 Blackstar MKII should work well for you

Thanks for the replies. I've just bought a Fender Bassbreaker 15 head.

Wow...that looks really nice...good luck with it! I'm very interested...but it's only a single channel...guess that was your compromise?

There are three switchable gain stages on the single channel. The structure switch stacks the pre-amp tubes.

If you don’t know already, the gain stages aren’t foot switchable and there is a noticeable volume bump when going from lower to higher gain stages. I own the Bassbreaker 15 as well, and I love it but it is a single channel amp.

It responds really well to guitar volume changes and playing dynamics though. I usually set it on the middle gain stage and roll my guitar back some. I can then use my guitar volume to go from clean to crunch, or crunch to lead.

Yes thanks. The YT review that influenced my decision covered all the minus points. This will be recording only amp so the foot switch is unimportant.
