I've got my chassis cut for my next build. I can still pivot if need be, but was hoping to do a PSE Tweed Princeton and wanted to add tremolo.

Do I copy a Vibro Champ and swap out the tone stack for the volume and single tone control? - Or - Copy the 5F2A Princeton and graft in the tremolo from a 5E9a or VibroChamp? Going to be cathode biased so it would have to wiggle the cathode the second gain stage.

Are there any voltage considerations I need be aware of? Meaning, if my plate voltages for the trem are lower will it not oscillate? If so, is it okay to pull that voltage off the B+ instead of B+1?

I've got the AES/CE Dist/ Amplified Parts House Brand Power Transfromer which is a clone of the 290AX which is a 325-275-0-275-325 HT secondary and a 5V winding so should be pretty flexible regarding plate voltages. I've got some older new production tungsols that I'd like to use but I think they don't like too high a plate voltage if I remember correctly. Can get some TAD or EH if needed.

Thoughts? TIA

I'm gonna work on my layout and do some more research. I do want to have the tremolo footswitchable as well a switch on one of the controls like the 5E9. I'm sure I can modify the vibro champ to do the same.

So unrelated... had first successful cut chassis on the CNC. Duuuuuuuude - so satisfying. No cleanup other than bits of aluminum. No de-burring. No filing.

I almost want to re-do the chassis I cut by hand (nibbler and drill press and all)
