I was given this Ibanez SR 406 6 string bass.
The volume pot shaft is broken and I don't know if I can just replace the volume pot or if I need to replace the whole assembly.
I've rewired passive guitars but I'm out of my element with this one.
It's probably a simple issue and I figured someone here would know.
Thanks in advance!

The pot says B500kΩ on the bottom.
I'm having some trouble finding a similar pot.
Suggestions?

Thanks for your help so far, donh!

B500k is a pretty common value, any electronics supplier should be able to supply one - just make sure you get a PCB mount! I'd also humbly suggest that you remove the battery when soldering.

I didn't even think about the battery! Thanks!

So I ended up scrapping the active pre-amp and wiring it passive (like a Jazz Bass).
It's quiet, but manageable.
I just wanted to thank those who helped and share the finished product with them.
