His Richard Thompson choice is okay, but this one smokes it:
or this one:
Any list that doesn't have "Elephant Talk" is bogus.
Funkadelic - Maggot Brain, is pretty cool though.
Edit: Not his version though lol.
No I missed that one. The first time I saw them was at The Edge in Palo Alto in 1997. It was after Pinkerton came out, and the Blue Album hype had faded a bit. Tiniest little club you could imagine but sadly no longer there. We had to call my Mom on a pay phone after the show to come pick us up.
I saw them again at the Bill Graham Civic in 2001- that was the best rock concert I've ever attended. I don't what else to say about that show.
The understated almost not solo on Boys of Summer. Genius

I see Telenator's love-letter to the UK has been removed, but nevertheless it might be useful for context to point out that Adrian's video in the OP's post is not just a random piece of clickbait. It's the latest posting for his Patreon supporters. And he's well aware of how subjective it is, which is why he invites Patreon supporters to submit their alternatives, so he can do another video next time based on those suggestions.
In other words, there's no need to be upset by a 'whiny British mama's boy' inflicting his opinions on you, because he didn't. You're the gatecrasher.
Stone classic, great soloing throughout
i just watched adrians video on kid yesterday!
watching it right now.
...courtesy the late, great Robert Quine.
And here's one from Richard Lloyd:
George Harrison and John Lennon - "Nowhere Man" (a unison duet, so sort of a solo, but not really)
Richard Lloyd [Television] - "Elevation"
Brian May [Queen] - "Somebody To Love"
Glenn Tilbrook [Squeeze] - "Pulling Mussels (From A Shell)"
Robbie Blunt [Robert Plant] - "Big Log"
James Calvin Wilsey [Chris Isaak] - "Wicked Game"
Dave Gregory (or maybe Andy Partridge) [The Dukes Of Stratosphere] - "Shiny Cage"
