I'm installing a piezo under saddle pickup in my acoustic. The end pin input adapter where the 1/4 jack goes in has 2 positive lugs and 1 ground lug. The wire from my piezo pickup has two wires, a positive and a ground wire... so I solder one to the input ground and other to the positive ground. Problem is the pickuo only works when I pull the guitar chord out slightly. Is there any way around this. Do I solder the one positive wire to the two positive lugs. Or do I just purchase a mono guitar chord? Not sure what to do. Pics enclosed.

Solder the white wire to the other terminal. You’ve got it soldered to the ring, not the tip.

Both the positive leads are in identical placement. There not tip lugs. 20190530_191628.jpg 20190530_191628.jpg

Re: The Positive Lugs: They are the same lugs. No difference. One is a ground lug the other two are positive lugs. The positive lugs appear to be identical.

Typically endpin jacks are stereo. Three connectors: tip, ring, sleeve. Commonly called TRS connectors. What you described is the hot lead connected to the ring connection rather than the tip contact.
I’ve installed countless numbers of these jacks and have never seen one with two identical connectors.
