One of our forum members apparently scored a prototype Acoustasonic Telecaster. For a couple of reasons (namely the F hole and the natural finish), I like this much better than the production model that was just introduced. Therefore, I'm feeling the need to build one!

Seems like there are a lot of interesting variations one could dream up... Chambered rosewood body with a spruce top? Quilted or flame maple top over mahogany? Dyed wood? Faux binding? F hole vs. no F hole? Etc.!

Anyone else got the jones to build one? It would be cool to see what other DIYers come up with!

Having built several thinlines before, it should be straightforward although I can foresee a little trial and error for me in fashioning the rosewood bridge "plate", and choosing and installing the piezos. Would be good to have some company for this part of it.

    Ciao,
    Rick
