Congrats.... Just play AS-IS... I have TWO of the AC15C1, a greenback and a Blue Alnico. I like them just the way they are. In fact if you play them on stage you may not even hear the difference between the two. LOL

After lugging the AC15C1 around for a year and a bit I made a vital mod: two trunk handles on the sides, which makes an easier lift for me alone and also allows a shared carry if I have a bandmate handy with a free hand.

I also got a cover for it from Hot Covers (online, UK based). They do an AC15C1 cover as standard but I had to get a custom cover with cutouts for the new handles, which they did for just a few £ more. Seems to be a good robust cover - canvas with foam lining - and a good snug fit.

    It's an amazing amp.
I have two of them one with a Celestion BLUE and one with the Greenback..... Prefer the greenback..
Just AMAZINGLY good.... and it's a very good looking amp at that too! Great reverb and Tremolo. Love the TOP channel but the normal channel is first class too..

I got tired of moving my cord between the two channels and I didn't like the idea of an A-B box on the floor so I made this little plug-in box with a Gibson style switch. Selectable either or both channels. The only drawback is, there's no way to ground the unused input so it's susceptable to a little noise but at home volumes it's not an issue.

I just use the Normal channel. For me it works as a pedal platform.

It is very good for that - I also use the Top Boost as a, hmmm, boost... (with a Fender ABY pedal up front).

I'm thinking of selling my AC10 and picking up a AC15. Is everyone still pleased with theirs?

Sure am! Now if it was lighter I’d be even more pleased — but I still love the sounds I get from it.

Take a look at the Laney L20T before deciding, I previously had a VOX AC15 head and cab, sold them a few years ago, have a Laney now instead which I'm super happy with.

A mix between early Vox and with the Gain channel active, a early Marshall

I did trade my AC10 in for a AC15 and I really like the 15 lots more. Yes it sure is heavier but you got to suffer if you want to sing the blues. Speaking of Blues, I ordered one to swap out the Greenback that came with the AC15. Nothing wrong with the G/B as it will be used in another amp. The Celestion Blue just sounds stellar in that amp.

Did some wheeling and dealing this week, and brought home a C1. Looks a few years old, but I haven’t dated it. Loving it so far. Always wanted an AC15, so couldn’t resist a trade offer. As much as I love GBs, however, I think I would like a blue better in the vox. OTOH, I play mainly low volume, so the GB is probably best use case for me. I’m good for now.
