Jeeeeeez....my right hip has been dropping me to the floor, like an old paper airplane!?
NOT fun, as the last time it happened, I was carrying a large glass of Ice Tea at the time. :(
My wife has been telling me to see a Doctor for years, but being stubborn/stupid, I always waved her off.

Guess it's time to go, huh people?

    Does it become dislocated?

I dislocated my right hip years ago by trying to "bounce" while stretching my hamstring. During one "bounce", my face went WAY too far and I heard a pop. It went back into the socket right away, but was sore for years.

Try to strengthen the tendons around the hip by doing squats...that's what the doctor told me.

I find that with some telecasters, over time one of the strap buttons comes unscrewed and the whole thing could fall right on its neck. Fortunately I can fix something simple like that with a few drops of wood glue, but if it's a more complicated problem I don't hesitate to take it to a doctor, I mean a guitar tech.

At the very least use styrofoam cups, less chances of injury. Go see a doctor

A Dr may be in order. Sounds like it's overdue....

It's vital you see a doc ASAP. It's not going to get better. Hope you take care of this soon?

Dood, if you want to be hip, you at least have to have one. See a Doctor.

Go see the doctor otherwise the next time you fall down you might not get up again.

Five years ago I went through the same thing. Intense pain in the right hip that sent me to the floor. I went to the doctor right away to have it checked out. Long story short, the cartiledge in the hip socket had 'worn out', very little left and it was basically bone against bone. I had to have hip replacement surgery, and did. My doctor said ignoring that pain would have made the situation worse. I strongly urge you to see your doctor!!

My younger Sister had BOTH hips replaced about 5 years ago.
I actually got to meet William Shatner, who was in the same hospital ward.
Long story short, she's fine now.

I had a hip replacement 8 weeks ago. I decided to get it after I started falling down... The idea of falling onto a subway track or down the stairs really didn't appeal to me. It's been great, and immediately there's less pain; you don't notice how much pain you've been living with till it's gone!
