So, I'm sitting there, and notice a bug and a paper wasp, of about equal size, on the windshield. They are about an inch or so apart. The bug turns toward the wasp and steps over to it, almost like a curious dog sniffing something. The wasp, busy preening itself, ignores the bug, then turns toward it for a moment..........and flies off, conflict averted.

We humans can learn SO much from our little bug friends.....no, wait, that's just, really, really, stupid...forget that I typed that.

Ahh, the west conifer seed bug vs. the wasp. The wasp is about to get a dose of stinky secretion.

I would have turned on the windshield washer and then swept them both away.

Not sure, but that other bug might be an assasin bug, and that wasp might have been in a world of hurt if it hadn’t flown off when it did.

Hmm. It would seem that, some days, you can be the windshield AND the bug. Interesting.

That was not what I expected to hear about on the One After 909...
