they're great for smashing your way out of riotous club.... and they make a good paddle for a canoe ,,,,
....and keeping the muppets off the stage...if Keef has anything to do with it...
You can put metal in there too. I play some screaming leads on both of mine on occasion.
I think if you watch the 1969 video of Jimmy Page playing a tele on Dazed and Confused there is no doubt that a tele can be used for Rock. We already know that a tele is the #1 Country guitar. Well to me that means it can do everything in between also. Platefire
Never heard anyone playing classical stuff. Bet it would still sound good.

A tele is best for self defense
A Tele is capable of playing ANY style, if in hands capable of playing said style!!
Leo is a genius. The telecaster has stayed relevant and it has crossed genres, eras and generations. One of the rare classic enduring designs in the modern era of all consumer products.
*edit* I should look at all the messages before I post a vid that's been well represented....keef is the man
I don't think this has been mentioned yet.
Brilliant design, pretty much unchanged except for the truss rod...A Tele can be used to play any type of music, period.
The whole family.
