For future reference, as frequency response is generally related to caps, you can take a relatively fat cap, say .047 or .1 uF, and temporarily hold the leads across one of the caps in circuit. When you hear the tone change to something you like, replace the circuit cap with a bigger one. I know this sounds simple but sometimes things can be simple, too, and still work.
