Ok, additional demo of modded pedal, requested by popular demand, or not... please excuse the sloppy playing as I get a bit out of time here and there...

Here is the breakdown of the recording, starting with all controls on stock and modded DS-1 at noon. Stock DS-1 is only done at beginning for reference sound. Same amp settings as the original post, Sheraton Bridge pickup.

    Comparisons
    Clean'ish Amp chords (2x)
    Stock DS-1 chords (2x)
Modded DS-1 chords (2x) - almost sounds like clean amp.

    Drive at Noon
    Modded DS-1 riff (4x)
    Quick chords (1x)

    Drive at 3
    Quick chords (1x)
    Modded DS-1 riff (4x)
    Quick chords (1x)

    Drive Maxed
    Quick chords (1x)
    Modded DS-1 riff (4x)
    Quick Chords (1x)

To me, chords sound better with "B."

Yeah, "B" is definitely a cleaner sound and tends to clean up better. Drive Maxed on B is approaching the stock DS-1 level of distortion which is probably at the far end of the spectrum for what I'd want/need.
