    Here's one for me... hadn't heard this song in at least a decade or more. It was at the end of a movie I watched recently. I guess some newer band has redone it--heard it, wasn't that crazy about their version.

    What a great song!

    Recently heard the Bangles version of Jules Shear’s “If She Knew What She Wants” while setting up for a gig on the islands. I’d forgotten what a killer tune that is. Liked it so much it immediately got added to the song list for my new duo to work on.

    I also recently bought a Triumph greatest hits CD and found the opposite - some good songs, but some of them not quite as good as I remember.

    This came up on random play the other day from my iTunes. I haven’t thought about this song in at least a decade, back when I was in a band that covered it. I had to plug in real quick and lower that E string down to D and play along. This song answers the question “What if the Beatles had written a heavy metal tune?”

    I knew this song as a child.... as I heard it later I always assumed it was a product of Motown. I was only off by a couple thousand miles to the west!

    .....and it was Dug Pinnick's 68th birthday yesterday.

    I hadn't heard this one for ages and it appeared on Spotify a few months back. I really like this song;

    Yeah - it always blew me away that dUg was part of my dad’s generation.

    I saw King’s X live at a little place in Nashville in 1996... the long gone “328 Performance Hall”. Ty was using Yamaha amps at that show, and it sounded fantastic. They were always one of those bands that sounded even better at the live show.

    Sadly, I've never seen them live. I don't think they do much touring in the UK. Have you got Ty's latest album "Alien Beans"? Disc 1 is new stuff and disc 2 is re-worked versions of some older songs. It's seldom off my car's stereo at the moment.

    This one. Hadn't heard it since it was released, and probably only a couple times then. A friend suggested it for a playlist I was working on.

    Good one! Reminds me of elementary school when I was just discovering music.
