A question about Shoreline Gold Strats

    No. He had a bronze Strat in the Last Waltz. The guitar was NOT shoreline gold and it wasn't painted. It was bronzed.

    Yeah. Someone mentioned that. Unique idea. Not knowing the specifics, when I watched the video I thought it was a cool looking gold guitar. The stage lights and everything make it hard to tell exactly what a particular finish really is.

    You must have read about that. I had never heard of anyone bronzing a guitar before learning about this.

    Eldon Shamblin, guitarist with Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys.

    Eldon may have had the very first custom-color Fender, if not the first or prototype Stratocaster.
