It started with watching this video, where I thought "there's a good idea for guitar part" because I do this song in my solo act...

Which led me to looking into what instrument Stevie was playing.
It's called a "Harpejji". (link)

A cross between a guitar and a piano. Although at a few £1000s for one I doubt it will be joining my musical arsenal any time soon.

I've only recently become aware of this.

Anyone seen Francis Dunnery and his touch guitar? The geezer from '80s Prog band, It Bites?
Francis Dunnery on the tap board.
I'm a fully-fledged member of the Dunnery fan club.

My mate, despite being a guitar tech for some of the biggest names in the guitar world still holds the time he got to pour Dunnery a pint in his dad's pub in Lanarkshire in the 80s as one of his biggest rock and roll achievements.

I saw him playing it with It Bites a couple of times back in the ‘80s and then stood just a couple of feet away while he was playing it at King Tut’s in Glasgow a few years ago.
I am quite a Dunnery fan and he is a star guitar player (& singer) — but I have to say what he does with the Tapboard isn’t his most interesting stuff…
