recorded straight into a cheap phone so no hifi here, plus we're poor substitutes for Robert Plant and Jimmy Page

That was really good, and this comes from a guy who watches The Song Remains The Same on a weekly basis and its one of my favorite parts of the film.

Great Job! Do you do any other Zeppelin?

Thanks.

We do a few more LZ tunes but don't have anything else recorded. I always just loved live performance and unfortunately am not savvy about recording or I'd buy the gear and software rather than recording on a little cheap phone. Back in the day I had very good range and did a lot of LZ tunes, many of which I don't have the range for anymore, but I don't feel real bad about it because Plant can't do young Plant anymore either. He compensates too, but he still sounds good doing it.

I'm 66 now and and have moved to a rural area, so it's increasingly harder to find good musicians that still want to do a band, especially with old farts like us. Most have given it up. That's frustrating.

I'm glad you are still doing it and its a shame that older players are having such a hard time finding musical outlets and venues. I think because of things like youtube younger players have no need to seek out or appreciate older players to learn the guitar these days.

yeah. And I'm glad that it's so much easier for young musicians, any musician for that matter, to get their music out to the people. The unfortunate flip side is that there is so much out there, every day, that a lot of very good music gets lost in the prolific mix of it all.

So true, no one has any space anymore, the market is flooded. What really scares me is the introduction of AI to create music, sure there will always be people like us who will make music the old fashioned way but when everyone can have AI make a song for them things will be 100 or even 1000 tines more crowded.
