Try the Jerry Cantrell Dunlop wah. No tone sucking, and the pot on the side of the wah actually works.

    That.
It took me quite some time, until I found the T-Rex Gull Wah which works with my guitar and my amp. It got 3 wah-modes, a boost control, a slope-knob for tone-adjustment and a hotspot-switch to slow down the onset of the effect, i.e. having the wah over the full pedal-way or having a mor poignat short wah-development.
It's the only wah that works with all my settings - I would never go back to a wah with no controls. I actually bought second Gull wah for my session-board.

The morley classic wah for me but i play mostly clean. Its great for funk and reggae but for classic rock you cant beat the nasal growl of the crybaby.

I also like the 18V Dunlop 565Q wah. it was given to me non working. I looked at it and realized that you could reverse the battery wire connection to the circuit board. I flipped it and it works like new now. It uses two batteries, but I'm fine with that.

Standard Cry Baby with some really easy to do mods does the trick for me!

Hm. My Budda Bud-Wah seems to work fine regardless. Stick it in front and it just says "Wah!"

Thanks for the help, everybody. I ended up finding a vox Clyde McCoy locally for sixty bucks. It's fantastic, and everything I wanted.

I just bought one of these, haven't got it yet though. The demos sounded really good and the reviews were very positive.
