Yes, they were riding in a city park. I'm sure we'll get an update when my son is done with his work shift.Glad the prognosis is good.
Was this a bicycle?
Gosh, man, as a dad I worry so much about my 17 year-old son getting hurt doing kid stuff. He and his friends are much like you describe. My son works four, sometimes five, nights a week and is of course a high school student too. Awesome kid. When I think of what I was doing at his age, he’s such an angel. I mean—really—I had a car bong when I was his age. As in, a bong solely dedicated for use in my little Toyota Celica, even while driving. Idiot. A wonder I survived. It was like car furniture, for god’s sake. My son I don’t think has even ever had a beer. Anyway, I am so sorry to hear about that tragic accident. Stuff like that can happen so quickly. I really do hope everything turns out okay. My thoughts are with you, your loved ones, and that poor young man.My son and his music jamming and sports pals went for a bike ride yesterday afternoon and one had a crash that is multiple breaks in his spine. We don't know what the outcome will be yet. They are all obviously pretty upset, and especially my son who feels guilty because it was his idea to get out for a bike ride.
These fantastic young guys do not fit a lot of stereotypes. They are not partiers, have been fantastic students, hard workers at their jobs, and at age 19 still care for an autistic kid they met in middle school. I hope ___ has a full recovery and especially before their rigorous engineering curriculum resumes at end of summer.
I sincerely hope the young man makes a complete recovery. It is doubly disturbing when you see young people who are trying their best to do the right thing have something bad happen to them. Again, best wishes for all concerned. My son and his music jamming and sports pals went for a bike ride yesterday afternoon and one had a crash that is multiple breaks in his spine.
