About 3 weeks ago or so I posted a song called "Empty Spaces" that I wrote, it was an instrumental that I put together a couple of days after my wife passed away after battling a long illness. A friend of mine from our church road and dedicated a song to her, and I produced it. I kept the same DAW settings that I used for my other songs, so sonically it should fit right in. Same Heritage H-140 I used on my instrumentals.

Those are my wife's handprints from when she was 9 in 1985.

Wow, that really touched me. Nice job all around. Love the chord progression, music, and vocals. Your wife must have made an impression on a lot of people. That is a great tribute.
It sounds "real".
Thanks! I'm a drummer also, albeit not a very good one, but I know enough to become obsessed with programming realistic drum tracks. I'm also learning that adding guitar nuances, things that don't really stand out but are definitely there, can make a project sound "bigger" without cluttering it.

Thanks for sharing. Grief is a long process with lots of ups and downs. Be with people and take care of yourself.
Yep, being around people is important to keep the mind from falling into dark places. Any activity that keeps the mind busy is good at times like this. It's when it sits idle that trouble starts.

Yeah I can't even imagine what you are going through. What a gift this song is! I said a prayer for your comfort and peace. Thank you for sharing.

Even the title gets me choked up.
