What cannot be disputed is that Chuck Berry is the Godfather, Grandfather and King of Rock n Roll guitar. Hail! Hail! Rock n Roll!!

Man to have a few with Edward Van Halen.
Johnny Marr or Dolly Parton , they just seem genuine

Joe is my man on the guitar, plus he seems like a real nice guy.

Leo Kottke. I'd like to find out how he could make a single 12-string sound like 3 guitars.

Funny I havent seen anybody mention Joe Bonnamassa. Everytime one of his threads comes up you can count on a few guys saying they'd love to have a beer with him

Funny you say that. I had a drink with him in college as I was driving him around prior to his show at the University of Idaho. We talked about friends and family. Swapped a few jokes as well.

Picking just one is hard. I would like an evening of drinks and discussion with Aaron Dessner and invite his brother Bryce along. The work on those two Taylor Swift albums was phenomenal. I have a lot of questions about layering soundscapes. He's a great and tasteful guitarist and would like to talk about building tracks.

There are many others but I am not sure there would as close a personality match to make it and interesting evening. Clapton, for sure, if I could get him out fishing, then heck yeah.

No drinks for me, thanks, and my answer might change every time I think about it, but offhand today, either Lucinda Williams or Arlo Guthrie.

Sitting in a British style cafe, having a full English breakfast with Mick Jones (ex The Clash) and Pete Townshend of The Who. No drinks I don't , so pointless really.
