How did biking destroy your hip? Running with proper form should strengthen your joints, unless you have some degenerative disease. Do you swim? That is pretty easy on joints. I'm 56 and only recently (last 4 years) got into aerobic sports. I used to bodybuild, the absolute worst sport for health and joints.

Vitamins! My wife and I have taken them for years. People say they don't work, but we are getting close on to eighty years old (78) and still walk everyday, play golf once a week, and enjoy being alive quite a lot! Whether they work or not, I THINK they do, and that's the same thing!

I often eat them right from the can, but my favourite way is a toasted sardine sandwich with hot sauce. I also grill them sometimes (the Greek way) - fresh or frozen, with salt, pepper and lemon juice. Delicious.

I have no idea how it did, but my doc said my hip was worn out, and I needed a new one. ( or he needed a new boat ) I've had it going on eight years. None of the stuff you're doing right now will show up until (if you live that long) you get up around seventy. That's when them cows come home from the things you've done in life.

I'm thinking the bodybuilding is what will bite me in the a** when I get old. Hopefully I'll make it to 70 to find out what has worn out!

They were BSing you sardines are minnows from about forty different species of fish. The fillet of herring you find in tins, are much too big to have ever been sardines.

I suspect carrying a golf bag did more than anything else to wear out my hip. I loved walking and playing golf, I would just sling my bag over my shoulder and could keep up with guys riding in carts, 'cause they were usually spraying the ball, and spent more time looking for it than hitting it. I walked and carried my bag into my early fifties. Odd thing is, the doc said your other hip is worn too, and will probably have to be replaced. It's been almost eight years since I had the right one done, and the left if anything has gotten better. Makes me wonder sometimes if I needed the hip replacement. Then I remember falling down and such when my hip would give way. Then I know I made the right decision. I'm lucky, my legs are the same length, and I walk just fine. Play golf do most of things I want, but running is out for me now, doc said it would tear up my leg bone where the artificial hip attaches.

I love sardines, though not for breakfast. My wife is sometimes shocked by my liking them along with another old favorite, Vienna sausages.

A good breakfast is a biscuit and sausage sandwich with very spicy sausage. Or biscuits and gravy with sausage gravy laced with hot sauce. The spicier the better.

So... Instead of having a sensible diet with lots of greens and low on fat... You eat that... Suspecting it might contain parasites... You must really not like vegetables.

The last time I ate them was a few Christmas Eves ago when I only had six other fishes on hand. There were vegetables involved as well.

By the way, just for the record I think I should add that such sudden weight gain is likely to be 90% water weight. That is, it is not fat, but water bound to carbohydrates and sodium. It will go away as soon as you stop having those in excess. The salty fish will probably result in you retaining that fluid instead of shedding it.

looks good, doesn't need hot sauce and orange juice is just sugar, eat a jalapeno and you get like 10 times what you get from the OJ.
