There is one on Reverb for $900 right now. Serial number checks out, 2005.
Seller replaced the pickups and bridge. Pickups are a main draw of this model.
Ended up getting this American Professional instead...
He's proud of this one
A couple of weeks ago i was in the look out of a blonde tele with maple neck, and i found one. But then after checking out this post i figured out that i actually bought a 8502!
I didn't even know the existence of this particular model before.
So now i guess i am a happy and proud owner of a stunning 8502!
Yes! My blonde beauty just arrived an hour ago. My New Year's Eve gift!
Now I am a totally happy owner of an 8502 American Ash Telecaster!
Love all of those Greek books in the background too!!!
Looks-wise, has anyone seen a blonde 8502 and a blonde 60th-anniversary (2011) side by side? Same hue?
Oh yes sir. Reading makes us play better indeed.
Well, the 60th anniversary is a bit more to the yellowish side than the 8502, which in turn is kind of a honey blonde color.
Thanks! I'm a sucker for finishes that go from the one in my avatar to light butterscotch. Hate the orange ones, yuck!
Lol, yeah orange not for me either.
a couple of days ago I bought a wonderful 8502, 2003 year, serial Z3136172.
I wrote at Fender and the Consumer Manager kindly answer to me:

Regarding another question I asked about the total of samples between 7/2003 and 1/2008 the answer was
about 1800 of each color.
For me these are interesting information! 1800 for each color (3600) in 4 years and a half of whole production is few. Maybe tomorrow could mean something...who knows?
Will be follow some pictures of this beautiful Tele!
Thank you for watching,
Here you find pics:
Hi asquinet- is it possible that your new (to you) 8502 is the same guitar as post #1312 in this thread ?
the pickup swapping might explain all the soldering on your volume pot?
Hi teletimetx! Thank you for your post and for your observation. Surely Mk-70 it is not the same person who sold 8502 to me... the seller is 20 years old more. Anyway Mk-70 is Italian, too!!! So could be the owner BEFORE the owner who sold me. Could be...I will write to him!!!
Thank you again!!!
Cher colleague, also consider the option that the 20-year old seller may be related to someone who has passed on...it happens...
sorry for my BAAAD English... I made a mistake: the seller MK -70 (the owner of post #1312) is 49 years old; the seller who I bought is 69 years old! .) 20 years of difference, not of age!!! Excuse again!!!
Thanks for all the great pictures, Claudio, and congratulations on your beautiful new Tele!
