Ive got a chance to buy one local and was just wondering are they the same, as far as circuit wise and point to point as the early ones. And what would be a reasonable value of this amp. THANKS.

The main differences are the "Pull Boost" feature and a heavier cab.

Don't pull the boost and you're fine.

    I've got a '79 that I love.

Ditto. Other than the PB circuitry and lack of a bypass cap and a lower value cathode resistor on the reverb driver the circuits never changed on the PRs. If it's in good shape go for it. Should go for around the same as a reissue.

And seriously...don't pull that "Boost" knob.

It's listed at $850. Only concern I have is with the lack of clean headroom at only 15 watts. I already know I'll love it tone wise.

I didn't know they were poit to point, I thought they were hand wired to eyelet boards not on solder points. You might have a rare one or a clone.

I don't know anything about it other than it looks very clean and it's $850.
