Very recently purchased new American 75th Anniversary Tele. After opening when it arrived I was surprised that the finish was more of a honeyglo than the tobacco burst I expected. I like the look, feel & sound of it and I will likely keep it. Perhaps it will be rarity-maybe the only 1 like it. This picture I took looks dark but it is way lighter color in person.

Ya looks lush. Don't really go for classic sunburst but this is sweet.

I expected them to be lighter than tobacco burst. I really like them too, but the Mexican diamond finish is one is the one I would get - I just find something really striking about those. Haven’t seen any in person yet though.

I like the look of the diamond finish as well. But as far I know, they won’t be offered in an American made version.

That body is gor-geous, Wayne! Looks a LOT nicer than the burst version.

    Congrats to you on that.

OP, I admired one of those at a store last weekend, and the Strat version a couple weeks prior. You are right that they are honeyish. Would have tried it but it was behind glass and would have been an ordeal.

It's a nice looking model. The Strat I saw was a real looker with wild grain patterns and that classy finish.

What's the neck like? It's a "deep C"...just some extra shoulder?

Those are really nice. I am not a big fan of gold colored bridge and control plates, but it works well on that finish. Nice.

No. Probably not. But it doesn’t matter much to me - I certainly understand the “buy domestic” argument, but Fender doesn’t make guitars in Canada ;) lol! FWIW, I do have a very nice Made in USA American Standard Tele :)

They are technically referring to this as a Bourbon Burst.

Oh my....I think that looks incredible! I bet somebody is back at factory looking for a one-off she made for herself. Enjoy!

The neck is perfect-seems a little wider than I remember, but it’s been over 20 yrs. since I had one—but maybe my old one just had a thinner neck. Action is great + intonation is spot on. Not staying in tune for long tho—til the strings get broke in.
