Hey all, I have recently inherited a `72 Thinline, all blond, it plays very well, but needs some TLC, mainly electronics overhaul. The main problem is the pick-guard. It is Mother of Pearl and it has badly `browned`in the sun. I believe the guitar has been standing a long time in an empty room exposed to the sun. I was thinking I could get it back to white and shiny with fine meshes and polishing compounds, as you would faded car head lights etc, but, I`d like to check if any other folks have attempted this and do they have any advice?
