Rocky Horror was on stage in '73, the movie was '75. Ballroom was 1973. I think it was in the air, like typewriters and radio transmission. Is it just me or does anyone else get the impression that “Rocky Horror Picture Show” owes a deep debt of gratitude to “Ballroom Blitz”?
I remember reading a newspaper article in the early '90s mentioning the "fragmentation of radio in the '80s."Only then could you hear the Carpenters, Pink Floyd, John Denver and Steely Dan back to back.
Gordon Lightfoot and Roberta Flack were a nice touch too.
Jim Croce was always welcome, and Sly and the Family Stone.
What a great sound track to grow up to.
