I had built a vibrochamp with a mather cabinet that was taller than stock with a 10”. I got the urge to do a 6g2. So i decided to make it fit the champ cab. I got a champ chassis that was an extra inch wide. Here are some pics of the layout so far.

I will have a 10k bias adjust that is not installed yet. I converted a laydown transformer to stand up in order to make more room inside the chassis. With this small chassis space is at a premium so ive been carefully trying to maximixe room.

Have you already done an induced hum test with that layout ?
I suspect that there may be a quieter transformer orientation than what is shown.

I stood it up so I could get the bias board to fit better. Probably should’ve laid it down. What is the preferred guideline for transformer mounting/ setup.

I think you'll be fine the way it is. Your laminations are at 90 degrees and looks like good distance. I've built 40W blackface circuits with two 12AX7's in Champ chassis, and there is even a ODS out there in a standard Champ chassis. You already sources a larger chassis so just plan things accordingly and take your time.

I will preface this by saying... I really do not know if the *mark* on the Sozo cap denotes the outer foil side of the cap.

That said, there are those who orient the caps to minimize noise. If the Sozo *mark* is the foil side, some would suggest to orient the Sozo the other way around on your board.

I may be off base with the orientation *mark*. Maybe another shock brother with more experience with Sozo will comment.

I could spin the caps around. The yellow caps had a red line on them indicating foil. I wasn’t sure about the sozos. Thank you

Looking good. One day I'd like to build a 6G2. That's unfortunately all I have to contribute.

FWIW, Sozo caps do mark the outer foil end with a line, so it's good you flipped 'em.
