These seem like two good contenders for a good gigging amp. Obviously taking two different approaches but they both seem to have good headroom, relatively lightweight builds, and a few useful other features.

I know the pro is brand new and just appearing but has anyone yet been able to compare the two?

Miss the days when I could just step into a local guitar center and try them out next to each other.

Didn't have the Pro, but just returned the 68 Custom Vibro Champ for a Blonde Tone Master Twin.

You cannot go wrong with that amp, the Tone Master Twin. Loud enough to play out, or turn the attenuator to 1 watt, and play with great tone at bedroom level volume.

Maybe not enough people have gotten to try both...

While I think my preference would be for something with tubes, the tone master's features of reducing the power to home use levels is appealing. Still like that both have a switchable bright cap, and 3 tone controls. Curious how they both feel in terms of portability.

I just had the Vibro champ.

I loved the sound of the amp, but just sent it back. Whenever I turned up the Reverb knob, I started getting a loud hissing sound. Others aren't reporting this, so I assumed it was an issue with mine.

I love playing really quiet at night, and the hissing was really loud. I picked up a Tone Master Blonde Twin last weekend (local store had a great sale on a floor model), and setting it at 1 watt, I get a really great clean sound at low volume, with no extraneous noise at all. Not sure if I'm going to keep it, but was intrigued.

I really really loved the sound of the amp. bit might wait a few months until they are in stores, and find one without the hissing issue.
