Hi, I'm curious about a volume issue with my PRRI 65.
If i turn volume to 10 (max) and bass and treble to 0 (min) the amp is mute.
If i lower volume or raise treble or bass a little bit, sound is there again.
Is this a BF's normal behaviour? Never noticed that before.

At least i found the reason. The preowner did a mod to the tone stack. R46 was lowered by a parallel resistor and R52 was bridged with a piece of wire. I removed both and the amp sounds less harsh and the volume knob acts normal now.

A blackface circuit, like a TR, the ones with a mid pot, will mute with the three tone knobs on zero. The ones without a mid pot won't because the mids are set with a resister that's about like the pot on 5.
