Well done. Great to have you still here.
awesome. congrats! :d
Right on, man!
You were the age I am now.
If that isn't a wake up call to me , I don't know what is...
Glad you're doing well.
Congrats, Hekawi. Good buddy of mine has his WM halfway up the walk-up trail of Stone Mountain outside Atlanta. He had the good fortune to have his cell phone with him, and a 911 operator who was familiar with the trail and could direct the emergency responders. Had the park's 4WD pickup bed for an ambulance until he was down off the hill!
Six years, that's awesome. I hope you have many, many more to come.
Never had a heart attack and hope I never do, but at age 10 contracted rheumatic fever which stuffed up my aortic valve and left me with a severe murmur. I was advised as a little tacker to take everything in moderation which I did, but wanted to sign up for military service when all the mates were conscripted but failed 3 attempts. What a pity, I always wanted to fly Chinooks. In July 2013 I felt things were changing and was advised to have the valve replaced. This was done by a brilliant cardiac surgeon whom I believe could walk on water, and I'm told by people who have worked with him that he is one of the best in the world. Two months after the op., I was climbing the mountains in Zhangjaijie in China and feeling great! Sadly now I seem to be piling on the pork and have to lose about 10 kg. but is very hard, but working on it... Thanks to all who told their stories and I'm glad we are all here to tell our story.
Good for you. I had a stent placed six years ago and continue to work on adhering to a healthy life style. My wife is major factor in that. So, with your success, I congratulate you.
I´m also a survivor. Had mine at 49, now I´m 56. I needed more or less two years to change my mindset and accept I am simply a mortal and that certain things I couldn´t do anymore.... All this misteriously ended in Telecaster building
Congratulations...keep up the great work & thanks for the reminder!
Keep on Truckin'!
I'm so glad that you're with us. You're special.
This valentine's day will mark my 1 year anniversary of the same thing. Hang tough buddy, I hope to see my 6th
Congrats! I go to the cardiologist on the 16th, hopefully it's just heartburn, and being out of shape for me!
