Having successfully built a 5f1 Champ I am moving on to a 5e3 Tweed Deluxe. Supply voltage is 240 here in Aus so I'll be using the Hammond 290BBEX PT which has a 6.3V centre tap. In my 5f1 I connected this to the 6V6 cathode but the 5e3 has 6V6 x2! Should I connect to both or either?

thanks

@D'tar nailed it, and that last option is extra easy. I drew it on a Rob layout once.

You likely know why we do this DC elevation, but if not:

If you DIY the circuit board and think you will work inside amp while testing/modding then two resistor voltage divider to HV can Elevate Filaments higher. Also discharge HV from electrolytes in a minute or two. For 5E3 higher Filament is not needed but remember it when you build amp which has a Cathode Follover and HV is over 400VDC. Sometimes othervise functioning tubes hum but higher FE lower hum significantly.
