5e3 PT for vibro champ build, will it fit/work?

Hi,

Sorry if this thread seems lazy. I have some spare parts and I'm thinking I can build a vibro champ with those. I have a couple of questions for the more experienced builders here:

1) 5e3 PT voltages/currents seem to be compatible with those of the vibro champ PT. Am I correct when I think it can be used?

2) Looking at monotone and they don't include dimensions on their transformers specs. Do you know if the 5e3 PT will fit the vibro champ chassis?

I doubt that it would fit because they use two different transformers. You could always contact the supplier to get the chassis and PT mounting dimensions. Even if the hole pattern isn't correct, you could always make a plate to cover the hole on the chassis and make a new cutout in the plate to fit your PT.

The PT should work fine but it does have a higher current rating for use in the 5e3. This may affect the feel of the amp slightly but that may be a good thing.
