I have noticed that all 5E3 chassis have IMO the same mistake. The Standby label is printed on the wrong side of the switch, it seems they must all be coming out of the same factory. Where do these come from?

I have a 64 Bandmaster same way that's how they did it. I will say it bugs me but I bought some of those VHT chassis for $15.

The Mojotone ones say Ground on that switch.

Your's is printed correctly SacDAve, the one I bought from the bay, (and the ones available from China), 5E310.jpg.JPG have nothing on top, and standby in the on position.

I just always wondered how Fender came up with that labeling , it seems so simple standby/on.

Real Tweed Deluxes didn't have standby, so they just print "STANDBY" where the originals said "GROUND" was on the originals. My Mojotone chassis is labelled "GROUND" (and the switch is a dummy).

All the aftermarket ones also label "BRIGHT"/"NORMAL", whereas the real deals were labelled "INST"/"MIC" (the only exceptions I've seen is the Fender RI).

    My old '60...
